Study Tour
A study tour to Krasiczyn Castle is planned as part of the conference program. Krasiczyn Castle is one of the most valuable examples of modern-era defensive and residential architecture in Poland. It is known for its high-quality architectural form, characteristic towers, attic finishes, and rich decorative facades. A highlight of the castle is the Divine Tower, which houses a chapel that survived fires and wars. The exterior of the tower is adorned with sgraffito techniques depicting saints, while its interior retains nearly complete 17th-century stucco, paintings, and woodcarvings.
The castle’s sgraffito decorations, covering approximately 7000 m², are among the largest works of their kind in Poland and are considered unique on a European scale.
